www.johnstowncafe.com is now a six year project that I do voluntarily with my own time and money. I get no compensation whatsoever for it and do it out of love for and pride in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. My hope is to teach Johnstowners more about their town, to allow those who moved away to reminisce, to help those who plan to visit the area and to possibly convince non- and ex- Johnstowners to consider moving (back) to the area. WHO AM I? Born and raised in Johnstown, I graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School then earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. My family first moved to Johnstown in 1862 and I am the fifth generation to live here. I also have roots in the coal town of Nanty Glo. DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING? Please send it! A link, pictures, information, history ... whatever it is, if you think it should be on the Cafe then please send it to me and it will be part of Johnstown's website. CREDIT I appreciate any feedback and will gladly include any links if you send them. I try my best to include credit where it is due, but if I failed anywhere then just let me know and I will either provide the credit or remove the material. FEEDBACK CAVEAT I appreciate constructive criticism, suggestions or requests. This is, however, a purely voluntary website that I work hard on in my spare time. I do my best and the content of this site has grown immensely over seven years. If you wish to provide negative feedback or slanders simply for the sake of being an idiot - don't bother, it will be ignored/deleted. My desire is to continually add content to this site, not to appease some graphics artist or to compare it to a site based on a template that someone downloaded and filled-in the blanks. Thanks.
